T-cell activation, results to differentiation of naive CD4+ cells into various types of T-helper (Th) cells. The Th subsets orchestrate adaptive immune response to specific pathogens by releasing cytokines. The dysregulation of Th cells are major contributors to autoimmune and allergic diseases. A comprehensive evaluation of cytokines release by Th cells provides a broader understanding how they help suppress or regulate immune responses.
This application note highlights a multiplexed bead based assay using the Intellicyt® Qpanels Kits to simultaneously evaluate Th cytokines from stimulated human PBMCs allowing for easy assessment of effector function and the identification of Th subsets.
